RecommendedIf I could leave a million star rating I would. My dog Rufus was hit by a car and honestly if there was a sliver of a chance he could make it I wanted to do anything I could. I know in my heart that the vets and staff here did everything they could for him. It takes very special people to take on cases like ours with a grim prognosis and still fight to save him. Though he is gone now he couldn’t have been in better hands ❤️

had to bring our Loki cat in today for a laceration on his front left paw.. they were amazing with him . he was a little nervous but was comfortable enough to take a nap on the table even with the other sounds coming from the waiting area and other exams rooms! Highly recommend! Thank you

There was a sweet dog that started hanging out around our neighborhood and suddenly yesterday was vomiting and excreting blood, weak. Talked to neighbors and she didn't belong to anybody. Couldn't get ahold of anybody near me up further north. So I called this hospital. Took her down and tested for parvo and was put in a special parvo room so it doesn't get to the rest of the hospital sick. She was positive. They gave me options, but she was so far into it that the only humane thing to do was to euthanize. The doctor and tec... read more

Friendly, caring, and knowledgeable staff!!! Would recommend to anyone! They took awesome care of our big guy who can be quite the challenge at times! lol Thank you to everyone there who helped our guy!!!
Dr Essig and Dr Totten have been amazing with caring for my Bailey (dog) it’s been a long and complicated case but they have been invested and always caring with the hopes of finding a treatment that will help my baby girl ... thank you all for everything
The staff is very passionate very caring kept us informed how our puppy was doing. We could see how much they love animals the second we walked thru the door. Hands down the best animal facility I been to. I highly recommend northeast Indiana veterinary &specialty hospital for any and all your emergency and none emergency pet needs.
I would recommend and appreciate the staff for their care and compassion. They are educated, professional and care about your family pets and will provide the best care possible. Pets are our family and cost sometime steep, but remember the time and commitment and cost of their schooling and education they endured to give your pets the best possible emergency/critical care. In my opinion sometime priceless. I have used for 2 of my fur babies and encourage you to remember them in time of emergency and specially needs.

Even though we ended up losing our sweet pup, which was devastating to our family, we wanted to say how much we appreciated Dr Matthew. I wish he could’ve been there when we had to say goodbye to our precious dog. He is so caring and compassionate. He took the time to explain everything going on when our dog was sick and in the icu. He gave options, he listened to our concerns, and answered our questions. Thank you Dr Matthew.
Took our precious 13yo male cat to local vet. Euthanizing was planned due to large intestine being completely compacted with feces, and local vet couldn’t get it out. Went to say our goodbyes but just couldn’t do it. One last ditch effort was to bring the cat here and THEY SAVED HIS LIFE!!!!!!! I have nothing but excellent words for this place. So nice, helpful , friendly and loving to us and our pet. Definitely will be coming back with (if) future issues.
