We were looking for respite care, however our family member ended up not needing it. The community is clean, welcoming and the staff was very nice and helpful. Would recommend to others and use in the future if needed.

The resident rooms are a comfortable size but need handicap bars for the toilet and shower. The common areas are very well maintained and attractive. The Oaks at Post Rd has had trouble keeping kitchen help and the management staff has changed three times in the last year. The med-techs are excellent and very caring. The weekend temps are not.

Across the board 4s. I will say that we have been there just a year this month and in that year we have been through three executive directors and a complete turnover and change in the rest of the administrative staff. We are on basic care (minimal) so I can't speak to what the advanced care level quality is. There is a huge family involvement at the community, which actually is really nice.
It is a Clean and inviting environment, friendly staff. we found their management staff unorganized and not prompt to return phone calls.
Biggest negative is the food service. The quality and variety is poor. Portions are too small for men so they are always hungry. The facility is generally in good condition and clean. Efforts are being made to refresh the decor and equipment. The Oaks at Post Road presents well. The staff is helpful but they are trying to find a new executive director. Some of the service staff don't seem to be engaged in their work. Staff turnover is a problem.
Very generous with their time, explained everything well and never hesitated to answer questions – in person or over the phone, even on weekends and late night calls. This is the second time I have had a loved one be taken care of at The Oaks – would use them again.

This was the first out of home placement for our mom. It was a difficult decision for us to make and we had a very limited amount of time to make it. A Place for Mom was extremely helpful. The Oaks at Post Road has proven to be the right choice for our mom. I personally like the single level living space and open courtyard. The staff has been competent, professional, and caring.

There has not been an activities director since she moved in, so a lack of activities overall. The food is less than average. with sandwiches more often than not for dinner. Staff turnover is excessive. Local admin not responsive but corp office has been.
