It's certainly not Vegas, People. I don't know what people expect from a small city casino. The only table games have virtual dealers. There's also a machine controlled roulette table. It's the slots that draw all the seniors (not the college kind) out of their Ocean Pines senior living communities. First things first, there is plenty of parking, although it was December 1st, not July 1st when I visited. There are plenty of slot machines; mostly penny slots. My [senior] mother wanted to "just check" this place out. W... read more

Smoke free and clean. Prices at the restaurant were reasonable. Menu is varied and the food is fine. Employees are pleasant and as we exited, an elderly woman fell as she did not see the curb. The staff rendered care within seconds it seemed.

Being the gambleholics we are, my boyfriend and I found the closest casino during our trip to Ocean City and decided to try our luck. Ocean Downs is about 10 minutes outside of Ocean City. When you start to see the billboards, you'll know you're going the right way. If you're expecting table games or a Vegas/Atlantic City style experience -- this is not the place for you. EVERYTHING here is electronic, from roulette, blackjack, craps, and slots. There's also racetracks as well. There's newer roulette and craps machines... read more

Middle aged guy wearing a Nickleback t-shirt un-ironically. That is all you need to know about the clientele. Assortment of slots, black jack with video dealers and roulette with an electronic croupier is what you get from the gaming side. Blessedly smoke free, this place is a decent, if somewhat depressing, way to spend a couple of hours and a few bucks.

I have to agree with most of the other reviews. The best part of this visit was the casino is smoke free. No smoking inside. Period. Dad and I spent about 2 hours here on the penny slots. Then we moved to the electronic roulette table where we each won more money. I never saw any card tables with dealers. Only the videos. Not the same. I enjoyed the fact that there were slot machines built into the bar. The casino is fairly small so it makes it easier to find your friends when they wander off to find their own l... read more

I live in VA, so I really enjoy the 2 1/2 drive to the casino. I enjoy the atmosphere and every time I have been has been during the day and I love the atmosphere during that time. I must say the only thing I do not like is the comp reward. The rewards STINKS, because it doesnt matter if you spend $500.00 dollars playing slots or $5.00 it seems that you still get $20.00 in slot play Sun-Thurs, that is my only concern and that is what keep me going to Dover Downs.

The signs at door says you must be 21 to enter. This is not a place for children. No this is not a Las Vegas type casino!! Do not go to this casino if Las Vegas is your yardstick for comparison. (Yes, I have been to Vegas 3 times in last 6 year and Atlantic City once in last 2 years.) There are no scantily clad show girls, no entertainment or shows, only 2 eateries, no expensive shops, no adjoining hotel, and no slick costumed dealers. However, there is also no LA airfare and car rental, if you are from the east coast. I ... read more

At first I thought building a casino near family vacation spots and residential areas was a bad idea, but this place is so small that it barely matters! My visits have been nice with polite employees, okay food, free sodas, and a wide variety of average-paying slots. However, the computerized dealers are a horrible and impersonal way for a company to save money! I enjoy going here for a quick thrill, but you would still have a much better experience in Atlantic City.

Let me tell you one thing that would make you shocked. I even didn't get the chance to say anything from the beginning of the accident. Yes I call it an accident. But for those people who have no clue about what happened they've worked hard to convince themselves and others that I Committed a crime. I was in the smoking room at one of the machines that had me win $10K after the fifth spin. During that time I was cashing out my voucher and going through my pocket as it was showing on their surveillance video. I turned my head... read more
