First be aware the Better Business Bureau has rated this company a 1.5 star. Be especially careful if you are a timeshare owner. Each OTG rep repeatedly lied to me over time: costs of timeshare maintenance fees climbing, , my poor children would be saddled with those costs, how they would get me out of my timeshares and give me credit for them, and how great OTG deals would be. Erica, OTG is not a part of the BBB. We are sorry that you feel the way you do. All Timeshare maintenance fees go up every year and the longer you own a timeshare the more you will pay for the same ownership. In most cases the resort does transfer ownerships to the next of kin because it is deeded and is a perpetual proprietorship. My husband and I met with Options Travel a week ago and were told that we would receive an Amazon Gift Card via email, for our time in coming to the presentation. We liked that they were no pressure and allowed us time to think about it, but we are unhappy and consider this a scam since we never received the promised Amazon gift card and no one has answered my phone calls when we call to inquire about it.
Met with them, and did not sign up with them. It was a hard sell, take it or leave it right now, which I will never do. The real problem was that every question we asked was answered with "absolutely" and guaranteed', but none of the paperwork shown us indicated as such. Added to that, we were going to have to pay them, up front, a substantial amount of money, as well as conveyed the deeds and any equity. Paid option Invoice & paid to extend RCI points only to have Options advise RCI 3 months later we no longer have an account. RCI says it is my responsibility to resolve with Options. Brian in Options accounting very sarcastic finally agreed to research and resolve with RCI - to date no response - terrible customer service
For several months I've repeatedly tried to get status and access to the service in order to book a vacation but they keep charging me and fail to return my calls, emails and requests for assistance. Options travel is affiliated with Leisure Travel a company that sales timeshares. This company is fraud. I have a contract with them to sale my timeshare. I paid $2, 800.00 and I still owe my timeshare. The promised to have the timeshare transferred to a new buyer with in a year and if not they would pay my maintenance fee. At first they would respond to my calls and provide an update. I have not heard from them Feb. 2020. I call and their phones are no longer in service. These people are formerly Legacy Adventures, Inc. principals who are very unethical in dealing with timeshare owners. They promise transfer, however, after our executing all proper documents, they inform us they have sold the company. The same people who worked for Legacy ripped us off with a transfer fee. I have tried contacting Leisure Getaways on numerous ocassions. Without any call back. Specifically Benjamin, i have left 4 messages for him with out any response. Also I have not been notified of this company Options Travel Group, now facilitating Leisure Getaways. A very unsatisfied, upset and disgusted consumer to say the least. On 4/11/19 after 5 hours of questioning, protestations and coercion, I signed an agreement with Leisure to exit me from my Westgate timeshare along with mandatory membership in Leisure Getaways club for $4,512. I felt remorse, read all the negative reviews and signs of a scam then canceled the AMEX card at 5am and put the charge in dispute. I sent an email later to cancel the contract.
