The entire Parkwood experience is excellent! The staff are all very friendly and you can tell they love animals. They always take the time to talk with me and interact with my dog. There is very little (if any) wait when I arrive for an appointment and I have never had trouble scheduling one for a time that worked great for me. Plus they send out email appointment reminders, etc. so that is very helpful. Dr. S. is an excellent vet - she truly cares about her patients (and their owners!). Dr. Stehouwer was both of my dog's vet at TLC. She has now opened her very own practice. It's a little out of my way now, but that's quite all right! (However, I would have be devastated if she relocated to a place that I couldn't get to!) They offer full vet services. I was able to do a small tour when I brought one of my dogs in, to get a tooth pulled. They have state-of-the-art everything. You'd definitely feel good about bringing your animals here. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE. They seem nice enough. But I've tried a couple times and my dog always comes back super skinny and jacked up. This last time she was there only for the weekend, and she was no right for 5 days!!!! To make matters worse, I had a new credit card, scanned it there to pay - my identity was stolen the very next day. It was the only place I used the credit card. I kenneled my dogs here over the weekend because we were moving houses and didn't want the dogs in the way of the movers. We ended up keeping our dogs here 5 days and got them back on Wednesday evening. By Friday afternoon my girl had a cough that sounded like a 50 years smokers hack with flegm that followed every other cough. After 3 minutes of research we realized it was kennel cough and took her in Saturday morning. The other dog a puppy had not showed any signs yet. I made an appointment a month ago to board my cat for the weekend. They waited until the day before I was to bring her in to tell me they can't take her until she gets a rabies shot and fecal test, but that's fine because they will do it for me!!! So they do not give time to take to your own vet but they will do for who knows what cost!! We had a very poor experience with this veterinarian. Upon our first visit, unauthorized treatments were on our invoice. When we noticed at home, we called and no one could verify if our puppy actually received the treatments they charged us for. They are very disorganized. Wait time were long and we experienced similar miss-communications regarding charges on invoice upon our second visit. I took my dog here for his annual wellness exam and vaccinations. I don't buy into having every test that most vets offer so the vet tech became a little stand-offish when I politely declined. She was still caring and friendly to my dog...me not so much. Anyways, I am left for a while to wait for the vet, approximately 30 minutes or so.
