Had a claim on a commercial trailer, Pekin makes offer of half of market value, I send comp trailers and Pekin’s valuation company won’t accept the comps due to vin not listed on marketplace. False promises made by claims rep and her manager, nothing but liars. Bring an attorney if you’re gonna deal with these crooks!!!
I recently got married and wished to change my name on my car insurance. Pekin forced me to add my husband to my policy and then put me in a non-renewal status because my husband is in the military. If you serve our country, they will not serve you! It is their policy. The woman i spoke to about it said that me calling was pointless, because it would not change anything and I would have to seek new insurance anyway.

Canceled my insurance through them last week because they jacked their rates up so much and now they have been charging me everyday for the past 2 days. Had to call my bank and lock it because they're are quite literally stealing money from me even though I don't have anything through them as of last week. I tried calling however no one answers the phone nor do they call you back. Had to go to the better business bureau.
Pekin Insurance is a company that is totally focused on its stockholders when they should be focused on the policy holders. They have cost me $3000+ in taxation and in premium principal on a whole life policy. Their internal policies and procedures are so bad I cannot see why they remain as a viable company. Stockholders, put your money somewhere else.
If you have major claim due to no fault of your own, they do not want to pay and come up with ridiculous answers. If you have old windows and they are all blown out from a hurricane, they want to replace with windows that aren't even made anymore and will have to be custom built costing more than the newer windows that the contractor recommends. I contacted this company regarding a claim I was making against a contractor who completely botched a roof job. I have been dealing with. Anthony Pogipli (adjuster) regarding the claim. The companies offer was to repair our sidewalk, the contractor damaged and our landscape they damaged as well for a total of $2500. Repair of the sidewalk was quoted at $2950, just the sidewalk.
