I've been with Pender Veterinarian Clinic since the first week we moved here 30 years ago. We've started out with 2 Maine Coon Cats Really Big! And 1 German Shepherd...I've always seen Patrick Denny and Dr. Hutchinson and they both know a lot about German shepherds and larger Dog's needs. Dr. Voell is always helpful and can break down some complicated news in a way that helps us sort out what are the important things to consider when planning the best course of action for our pups. Recently, our senior GSD declined and with Dr. Voell's help, we were able to get our dog back on the mend while we monitor his medical issues.

Excellent service! We came in for an urgent care appointment and saw Dr. McKinnon, she was amazing!! Very thorough, patient, taking time to explain everything and provide options. The med techs and front desk staff were all outstanding. Highly recommend Pender!

Pender has always been my choice for Veterinary care. I recently got a new puppy with very limited background information. Dr. Voell has been very helpful in helping me choose the correct treatments for him. He often calls with information on tests which puts my mind at ease. We have been taking our 2 Bichons to Pender since we moved to DC and we cannot say enough AMAZING things about the staff there!! Dr. Denney is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! My pets have been seeing Dr Hyatt for over 15 years and we have total faith in him. He is caring and understands the owner’s needs as well as the pet’s needs. He always returns calls left on voice mail and he can usually always get the pet in to be seen even if he is booked. Hopefully he will be at Pender for years to come. Very pleased with Dr Mikhael's attention and consideration. His physical exam and review suggested and subsequently ruled out potential kidney disease (low specific gravity urine sample as part of a UTI diagnosis). Explanations were easily understood and I was kept informed of lab work progress. We are also taking double advantage of an e-collar to try to break a life-long nervous paw sucking habit. Hooray!!
