I want to give this veterinary 5 star since the staffs are really nice and mostly pretty fast but I did have terrible experiences. Dr. Dickerson terribly miss diagnosed my pet. I mean, even a person who doesn't know anything about a dog could tell my dog was having a severe skin issue. Instead of narrowing down possible cause she just gave my dog bunch of anti itching medicine for temporary solution. I end up fixing the issue by following my friend's suggestion, who had similar issue before. I currently have Dr. Yong as my m... read more
I didn’t have a good experience when I took my dog to do part 1 of the identification process required for an upcoming move to Australia. The USDA accredited vet needed to scan the dog’s microchip and take a photo of the scanner, with visible microchip number, and a significant part of the dog in the image. I provided official documentation with all steps of the process required (to take one picture) and still had to talk the vet and staff through it. Next, the vet needed to input this info in the VECHS and provide me with t... read more

I have been going to Pender for 13 years now with all my dogs. I can't imagine going to any other vet. Every vet has been so kind to my elderly dogs and has done everything they could to keep them healthy and comfortable. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Pender!
Very pleased 😃
We saw Dr. woodson got the first time, she is amazing with dogs. My dog is a little scared of everything and she was so sweet to him and he just loved her. Next time we go to the bed, I know he will be scared to go.
Our last visit to Pender for a routine check-up was disappointing. After going to this office for 30 years they seemed more interested in up-selling services than the health of our pets. They seemed to have no knowledge of our pets past history or medical concerns even though we have a long documented history with their clinic. Unfortunately, we may start the process of looking for a different clinic.
Usually a 5-star experience taking all my pets to Pender for the past several years, but I recently had issues with Dr. Carney and his approach (or lack of an approach) for my dog with anxiety/behavioral issues. His attitude towards the situation, lack of effort, 40 minute tardiness, and calling my dog a “he” the whole appointment despite several corrections really rubbed me the wrong way. You can tell immediately when a doctor is not confident or willing to spend time working with your pet. I don’t think he should work with... read more
I have entrusted the care of my senior cat to Pender for 7 years. Recently, I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with the poor level of care I received from the practice. On June 2, I contacted Pender to schedule an appointment regarding abdominal distension of 19 year old cat. Hindsight further research indicates this is cause for urgent appointment. Pender did not feel this was urgent and scheduled June 10. June 10, x-rays showed a large amount of fluid accumulated in my cat's abdomen, surprising the doctor who st... read more
