Receptionist is rude with poor communication and lack of problem solving skills. Cancelled grooming appointments last minute, as in 2 min prior to the appointment time via email. EMAIL!!!! A call to apologize for the inconvenience as soon as the need to cancel our appointment arrived and a complementary service offered would have been nice prior to upsetting the dogs routine and driving 40 mins to the facility and having to double back 40 mins to drop the dog back off at home. Apparently their comment that they would "elevate this issue to management" is purely performative. A week later, and after privately trying to contacting them we've heard nothing from anyone there.

after making an appointment in person, I showed up on the appointed day and after making me wait for 30 minutes, the woman WHO MADE THE APPOINTMENT couldn't find it, wouldn't make an effort to fit us in.

Terrible. They had our two dogs for about six hours and did not even groom them. They also were not answering their phone, so I had to drive to the store to see how they were doing. When I saw how they were being treated we left immediately. AVOID!!

Had the absolute worst experience with my dog Jingle getting groomed. I drop him off and when I come to pick him back up, he had a sizable cut/gash on the bottom of his left ear and was shaking and clearly anxious (I attached pictures). The lady who groomed him, Samantha Kelly, called me after he was groomed and told me that she cut his ear and that she was sorry. The absolute worse kennel EVER! My dog spent 3 nights, 4 days at the one in Charlottesville on Harris Avenue. When we picked her up we asked how she did and the woman at the desk said "I don't see any notes in her file" "so I guess she was fine." Once we got her home she refused to get out of our car. When we finally coaxed her out of the back seat she jumped in the rear hatch area when she heard a car go by. For days she would not eat or go outside without being coaxed. I am incredibly frustrated with this place. I take my dogs in for an evaluation and one of my dogs does not pass. It turns out that if you have them in separate groups, they have a see-through gate so of course my female who is very protective of her brother sees him and she wants to get to him. At other places they would just put them in different groups and she wouldn't see him the entire day. They knew a vaccine was expired so wouldn't take my dog. You would think they could call to let you know before the appointment. It made me very late for work and cost me over an hour of extra driving.

I would give this place a 0 if I could! We made an appointment months ago to have our two dogs stay here for the night while we attended family weekend at UVA. We immediately felt uncomfortable when the employee came right at our dog and tried to put an id collar on her without even greeting her or letting her sniff and then asked if she would be able to handle the dog.
