Believe the 1 star reviews, I took my 10 month old puppy for grooming. I made sure to tell the groomer that I had a hard time getting him an appointment so he was a few weeks overdue and I pointed out where I thought he had some knots, we spoke about what kind of haircut I wanted and at no point did she say that he was matted and needed to be shaved. If you love your pet, or even just like your pet don't take it here. Deplorable conditions. The place smells like pee because they house so many dogs they make them pee and poop indoors inside their individual kennels (yes they make your dogs use the toilet on themselves). It's so loud and noisy in there you can hear the dogs barking from outside the facility. It looks like a prison for dogs. We've brought out dogs to this location since it opened many years ago. Susan Hadley built a wonderful place for pet owners to board their pets and never had to worry. My daughter worked there while in college in the kennels. Susan made sure pets were nurtured and treated with love and respect. Prices were always reasonable for day camp, boarding and grooming. A person on the phone booked a grooming appointment for my cat. Then one hour prior the day of the appointment they cancelled THROUGH EMAIL. It's a good thing I get email to my phone. When I called to inquire they said they no longer take cats and the appointment should never have been booked because they don't have the space. They then could not recommend any place to send my cat for grooming. Couldn't be more displeased with how this place treated us during our puppy's groom. We've been a customer for over a year with multiple stays & grooms. The place is under new management & things have changed, not for the better.

Fire aside, we were unhappy with the service provided by Pet Paradise. The fire, which occurred ~5 hours after we picked up our senior kitty (a day earlier than planned!!! Thank heavens our vacations was shortened) was the final nail in the coffin. My first experience with 'Pet Paradise' was scheduling an 3 day boarding stay in July 2018 for our senior cat who had stayed multiple times (~once annually for several years) at Pampered Pets, the same location/facility that was bought out by Pet Paradise. I boarded all 4 of my cats here when it was Pampered Pets. The price was very expensive, but we were having work done in our home and it was necessary. Since then, it has become Pet Paradise and they had a horrific fire. The fire department suggested they put in a sprinkler system. They re-opened fairly quickly and there is no mention of a sprinkler system. After what happened, you'd think they'd take heed and follow the fire department recommendation.

My dog came (or tried to come) here for daycare twice. The first day was his evaluation. Setting the appointment up was a pain, as they do all scheduling through their corporate number rather than at each individual location. My dog loves daycare but wasn't nearly as energetic as he usually is by the time he came home. They apparently board them a lot during the day (I was told only 20 minutes of play at a time) which really doesn't seem worthwhile. So sorry to see how poorly this facility is run now that it is not Pampered Pets any more. Took my dog to daycamp on August 16 and was shocked at the level of dysfunction and general chaos. The staff seems to be all new and they don't really seem to know how to behave around dogs. They didn't really separate the large dogs from the small and i was told that I could bring her on another day of the week if I just wanted her with small dogs? .... I had to be at work!
