Polaris 3900 Sport Pressure Pool Cleaner
About this business
Works well on floor and walls of pool but not the steps. I love that the tail stays below the surface of the water and does not spray pool water all over. Originally the Polaris was getting hung up on the pool drain but my pool service, who sold me the Polaris, was able to make a few adjustments so most of the time it plows right over the drain. Very happy we upgraded.

It picks up everything pretty well. Something it wraps itself in the hose and I have to untangle it. I like the light weight.

Here's a tip to help with the cord issue you're experiencing: 1) Remove the cleaner from the pool and lay the cable across the pool deck to relieve coiled memory. 2) Allow the cleaner cable to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 3) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 4) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot. This is the 2nd Polaris 3900 pool cleaner we have had and the old one just needed to be replaced. I purchased another Polaris 3900 because we had such a good experience with the original Polaris 3900.
It really works great and is an upgrade from the 280
I've had a Polaris for 29 years & they , like me, finally wear out. When that happens I just buy a new one. I have never had to hook up the pool cleaner hose & I luv sitting in the sun room watching Miss Polaris clean the pool.
I replaced a very old Polaris 380 with the new Polaris 3900 Sport pool Cleaner. I loved he old Polaris 380, but it was very old, probably more than 20 years old. It always did a great job when it was working properly but I got tired of behaving to replace parts fairly often since it was worn out. The 3900 has similar adjustments and some great new features.
