we had to replace a 3 yr old Polaris so I was not thrilled. So far all is good and working like a charm.

Love Love Love our "Alf" yes we named it. So glad i was able to talk the husband into getting one this year, he finally was too after using him twice!!! Saved on time and the pool hasn't been cleaner!

It is okay because it does not clean the sides and ledges of the pool. It does an excellent job on the bottom.

If a robotic cleaner isn’t climbing well, the main culprit is usually a clogged debris canister. Carefully rinse the canister after each cycle and periodically use mild soap and a soft brush to dislodge any microscopic debris that may be impeding flow. Besides doing a very good job of cleaning the pool, it is the only unit that I found that can successfully go over the main drain of a pool without getting stuck. Highly recommend this unit.

I went to the pool store thinking I was going to get parts to repair the creepy crawly that we had. Then I was told it really was so old that it wouldn’t be worth it to attempt to fix it. I decided to do what my husband would have done - bought the nicest pool cleaner they had. Let me tell you how amazing this thing is. For one, it saves your filter. I was a little hesitant to make the switch from a suction side cleaner to robotic, however after using the Polaris Alpha iQ, my pool has never been cleaner. The robot easily goes up the walls to the waterline, does a fairly good job cleaning the steps and the app is intuitive and easy to use. I do have one small nit to pick however. After cleaning the filter screens, the units top is rather difficult to close and makes a loud “snap” noise, I’m afraid it’s going to break. Great machine. Our pool is unscreened and has a real leaf problem during spring and fall. The Alpha iQ has worked flawlessly in fixing this problem. Wish we would have had it years ago.

Love the Alpha iQ! Handles my custom designed pool and picks up the finest of debris. Only nit; the plastic color has not held up to the chlorine and/or salt.
