My first experience with a robotic pool cleaner and it’s been fantastic so far. I’ve always used a pressure side with a booster pump and it was good for picking up leaves and big debris. However, the EPIC 8642 iQ collects ALL of the fine dust and dirt that got left behind with a standard pressure side cleaner. I enjoy not being required to run the booster pump for a cleaning. With the 8642 I simply plug it in and push play whenever I want. This has been a fantastic product so far.

The pool cleaner with caddy is very easy to use. We are in our 70's and can easily roll it to the edge of the pool, remove from caddy and place in pool, make connections, and sit back and watch as it does a fantastic job cleaning bottom and sides of our 1800 gal. Pool. It is just as easily removed from the pool, placed on caddy, and rolled to covered porch. No complaints at all.

Overall, the unit works well. Only downside is it doesn't fully suction up the sand/dirt. Otherwise, I'd would have rated 5 stars...just the suction part. I'd recommend this to anyone who asked me though.

I love Polly. That’s what I call him. The Polaris robot. He does such a great job cleaning the pool floor and sides and even gets up onto the stairs sometimes. My pool has never been cleaner. It’s hard to explain how satisfying it is to pull him out and empty his bin of gunk that didn’t have to go into the pool filter or linger on the pool surface. Highly recommended.

The robotic cleaner is great for pools without a screened cage. It is powerful at picking up leaves and debri! Unfortunately at the time I purchased mine under distress and had a few screens out. Probably could of went with a less expnsive cleaner. However the App to turn it on when away is pretty cool.

The Polaris EPIC 8642 iQ robotic cleaner is a great product. A few things I would note: The cleaning mode for Floor, walls, and surface is not accurate. My robot has never cleaned the water surface. I have never seen it work along the water surface. I always have to hand clean for surface debris. I wish I had known the minimum operational water depth required for the robot.
