Polaris MAXX Suction Pool Cleaner
I previously had Zodiac MX8 Elite. It "lasted" 5 years. The Polaris Maxx navigates around the pool about the same (extremely well and efficiently), but what it does SIGNIFICANTLY better is not get clogged by small sticks. I'm talking about tiny sticks. They would routinely jam up the MX8. After over a month I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
Without a doubt this is the best pool cleaner made. Excellent warranty and does a great job every time. I also like the fact that it sweeps as it cleans so does an excellent job in corners that other cleaners miss. Having owned Hayward and Pentair cleaners the Polaris is the cream of the crop for a sparkling clean pool floor and walls.
This is the best pool vacuum is the best one we've ever had. It climbs the walls and scrubs at the water line. It's incredible.
I love this pool vacuum. I had a Polaris Barracuda vacuum for over 10 years with very good success and decided it was finally time to upgrade without breaking the bank. The vacuum does a fantastic job climbing walls and covering entire pool. One issue is that it doesn’t do my steps which may be a setting issue on the suction valve. Highly recommend this product.
I needed an upgrade from my old Hayward suction pool cleaner. I was hesitant to get the Polaris Maxx mainly due to the price. But once I got it home and installed it I was sold. It performed as promised and exceeded my expectations. Beyond happy with this investment.
One month of use shows excellent operation. Maxx travels the whole pool even climbs walls. Keeps pool floor very clean. Only one concern: Connection of hose in skimmer not good. Keeps coming out when filter shuts off. This part needs rethinking...
The cleaner functions well although I think the random direction sometimes takes too long to clean the whole pool. The most difficult with the Maxx was the initial put in the water. Submerging the hoses is more difficult than it should and installing the Cyclonic Leaf Catcher online is complicated. Its removal also takes a bit to get used to doing without dumping part of the leaves back in the pool.
