I recently upgraded from the MX8 to the Polaris MAXX, and I can confidently say it’s a big step up in performance and reliability. With the MX8, my biggest frustration was how often it would get stuck or clogged—especially when dealing with larger debris or a mix of leaves and dirt. After working with five different brands over 25 years, i would say Polaris MAXX is the easiest and the best pool cleaner i encounter. The only problem is not very clear policy on rebate. I still can not understand who gets and who is not

I love it. Cleans all the way up to the tile using the pumps power during its normal operation.

Does a great job, although it sometimes doesn't like to wake up and move when my variable speed pump starts it's higher flow after being on a low flow over night -- I have had to open it up and give the paddles a manual push. Doesn't appear to be anything stuck. It does cover my entire pool except for the steps and has nearly eliminated the need for brushing.

I’m basically very happy with the pool cleaner. I wish the hose would stay just below the surface as it traps floating debris and keeps it from going to the skimmer. I was told that it cleans up the walls of my pool but it only will go up about 12 inches.
