I was looking at robotic cleaners for over $1,000. I saw tests that showed their coverage. Their coverage is random, so there are always spots left untouched. And, they only operate for 2 hours on each charge. The MAXX is &500-$700 less expensive. It doesn't need to be recharged. So I start it and let it run for 5 hours while I do REAL work. It works pretty good, but not so great climbing pebble tech walls. It will go about half way and lose traction.

My new Polaris MAXX cleans my pool better than my previous Hayward Navi cleaner. The MAXX completely cleans the floor, steps and walls up to the tile. My Navi only cleaned the floor and only the bottom foot of so of the walls and never the steps.

This is a good cleaner. It is busy right now cleaning areas my previous vacs have missed . It is priced fairly and setup was easy.. I've used at least 8 vacs over the years and this is a favorite on my list.
