Polaris MAXX Suction Pool Cleaner
We replaced our old pool vacuum with the Polaris MAXX suction Pool Cleaner and have been very impressed with it's performance. When we first got it worked for about week and a half and then stopped moving. I did the troubleshooting and removed the clip on the bottom of the unit (which was the factory setting) and it started working again immediately but now, not only cleans the bottom of the pool but also all the way up the sides. We live this pool vacuum. It has swishers on the bottom that really help loosen dirt so it can be picked up. It works really well, much better than our last one. It cleans a wider area than our last one.

I love the Maxx. My only issue is that when it occasionally tries to climb the steps, (which it cannot do), it gets stuck for minutes trying over and over. This causes it to scratch itself up at the lower front, which I think in time will damage and wear off parts. This started occurring on day 1. I have added a couple of layers of Gorilla tape to the areas affected. After about a month, it looks like it will do the trick. This design is amazing and should be standard. The suction is impressive and the scrubs do an amazing job all the way up to the water line. It does get hung up on my main drains, but always free itself. Would be better if it could tackle the Baja step, but no vacuum can do it all! Great purchase 👌
