Booster Pump Maybe I received the only bad pump in the warehouse last May 2012. It lasted 15 months of 2-4 hours daily use. I can't trust the quick connect hoses as the first one I installed in 2012 popped off the top of the pump after about a week of service, but was quickly discovered. Maybe I just didn't get in on properly. I reinstalled the original hose and fittings and used SS hose clamps. This new one was delivered quickly as was the first one. Installation is easy. The price is right. I just hope this .. more one las... read more

Received product as described; Not so easy installation Received the product from the supplier in a timely manner. I had planned to install myself but after reading the instructions which were a bit sketchy I decided to have our pool guy install it. That's where the fun started. The quick-connect fittings were an absolute bear to connect properly to the flexible line because it was nearly impossible to slide the collar far enough over the hose barb to insert the horseshoe-shaped retainer. Our pool mechanic couldn't do it and... read more

Polaris Pump Great price, but it came in a damage box, two of the connectors were broke and the terminal board was missing a nut and broken, I had to take it to a motor shop to get a new board, runs good but a lot of issues to get there.

I ordered a Polaris PB4-60. It arrived before I could turn around, a couple days, maybe three. Well packaged and in undamaged condition. I took the volute apart by undoing the hex bolts around its periphery, and rotated the rotor to make sure it was free and not rocking. Put it back together. All good. Installation took about 1.5 hours, taking my time, checking that the breaker was OFF every time I got out of sight of it. My old pump was wired for 220 V, and that's the way the new pump .. more was when delivered. I made a ca... read more

The price is excellent, just check the web. Shipping was very quick which is important as your pool can go to heck in just a few days. This was not my first purchase from PoolSupplyWorld and it certainly will not be my last. Look no further.

Horribly loud--unacceptably loud. I asked Leslie's Pool Supply to send a tech out to check on the noise, they would not without charging $100. I returned pump. There is another model, PB4-60Q that is rated quiter, but they didn't tell me that. I'm going w/ another manuf this time.

I was replacing an older polaris pump that was costing more in repairs than this knew one. This one's stand is a little shorter and the valute is different. A little PVC plumbing work and an overnight wait for everything to dry firmly and everything works. I used steel pipe with teflon tape and joint compound to connect to the pump. Using the steel means that if somehow the pump ever runs dry and overheats it will not melt the connection. The pump works great and the price was right.
