This rating is an amalgam - Unit was simple to unpack and get set up. I thought the WiFi setup was straightforward enough and has worked both from close proximity and removed, even though I had read that it was difficult to set up and unreliable. That’s a 5 I have used the unit several times now on all different modes and settings the cleaning is good but each time has missed several places in the pool - during mapping mode and bottom scrub mode. Nice pool cleaning machine—sleek, high-tech design and features. I’m underwhelmed by the digital temperature feature. It constantly reads 32 degrees (F) and has never changed in the short time I’ve owned the product. Though the winter water temperature is cold, it’s not that cold, it’s in the mid-40s. Polaris customer service said that when the water is cold the gauge is inaccurate and that it will resolve when the pool temps climb. Our Polaris VRX is even better than expected. It is very sturdy, easy to operate, and most importantly does a superb job cleaning. We have had to cover our pool for the fall because of leaves, acorns, etc, but the Polaris made it possible to leave our beautiful pool uncovered.
