Get directions$500.00 to walk thru the front door. Ridiculous amount
The nurse I had was excellent, but the doctor didn't seem to care I was there. I went in last night for having shortness of breath and they ran some tests, couldn't find anything wrong, then after doing *no treatments and offering zero solutions* the doctor came back in to ask if I was feeling better, and got confused when I told him I felt the same as I did when I came in. They gave me some anti inflammitories by IV even though I was not in pain, and it did absolutely nothing, and sent me home with a prescription for more a... read more
This place is a total rip off! DO NOT GO HERE. I went on a recent Friday night to get my erratic blood pressure checked based on my doctor's advice. (He said head to a doc-in-the-box and ask for a simple EKG.) This place was nearby so I dropped in. They hooked me up to an EKG for an hour and then I left. That was it. A month later I got 2 bills totaling close to $2,000. That's AFTER they charged my insurance (BCBS) $5,000. I'm still battling with about my bill. They are crooks that take advantage of people.
Not good AT ALL. Dr. Bob Phelan correctly and quickly (within 5 minutes) diagnosed a vasovagal syncope; told us they didn't need to do any tests unless we wanted. We said no that's ok. And then guess what? We months later receive a bill for $6,000 worth of tests including--get this--a pregnancy test! I call the good Dr. Phelan numerous times, and no return call. He needs to return one of the approximately 10 messages I've left him at PH and HP.
PSA! Thinking about using the beautiful new Preston Hollow ER? We have BCBS PPO and received a bill for $730 in addition to our $100 ER copayment. Turns out, the facility is in network with our policy, but the doctor who saw our son was not. I wish as a courtesy, they would have given us the heads up before we were seen. I may be naive, but I've made multiple trips to the ER with 3 kids through the years and have never been billed beyond my copay.
I took my 16 month old granddaughter here with a dislocated elbow after waiting 6 hours in Medical City's children's emergency room. Preston Hollow's staff was great and we were there less than an hour, including X-rays. They even had cartoons for her to watch in our room while the radiologist read the X-rays. I'll never go to the hospital emergency room again after this great experience.
