Could not get it to work. Could not understand the directions. Planning to return it. Definitely do not recommend it.

I bought the P-Touch to replace a failed older label maker. The instructions on loading the new tape were not crystal clear (and I was probably in a hurry) so I ruined the first tape cartridge that I loaded (tape was jammed in the inside). Taking my time on the second tape worked much better. tapes are easy to produce, clear, and seeming durable. Features like adjustable fonts and font sizes are great. Would recommend.

Such a lousy design - it is set for ONE INCH MARGINS on both sides of the printing! There is an option to reduce the margin to 1/2” on the right but that leaves a full inch on the left with printed dots for you to cut (hopefully straight) with scissors! What is the point of an automatic labeled with cutter if I have to use scissors? I had a previous model, quite old. It did not require me to waste the expensive replacement tape. This one is going back. Lousy tactic, Brother.

We have three of them now. This one is ridiculously complex. It was really a great price but still not worth keeping.

I have used BROTHER labeling machines for decades. I needed a new one, saw this one w/2 tapes included & decided to buy it. I just wish they would come up w/a way to keep the waste to a minimum...just too must waste at the beginning & end. But non-the-less it's a great machine!

Not happy that the tape included was black tape with white lettering, that wasn’t clear. We have always received white tape with black letters.

Bought yesterday and have not decided whether to return it. When I tried to register product, this model number was not listed on Brother's site. I was making short word labels and tried to set it for 1.2 inches (the shortest length available), but it printed out as 2.2 inches. That extra inch of cheap is a huge waste.

Avoid at all cost! Machine runs battery dead in 2 months, even when not used. When batt voltage drops from 1.5v each to 1.25v, which happens very fast on this machine, the unit will stop working, while wasting a couple inches of tape in the process. Machine uses 6 AA each time you replace. Returning.

I got this to replace an older unit PT1800/1810 that prints very slow. This unit came with 2 cartridges and was discounted, so a net price of less than $20 was a deal. The result is the unit prints slower than the old one, plus there is no horizontal alignment for multiple lines of text. This purchase was not an improvement and a waste of time.
