A great label maker and a fantastic PC label printer This is the second Brother PC-connectable printer I have owned. If you haven't had a label maker that works with your PC, here's a little primer: You connect the printer to a USB port on any PC. You may need to download the driver for this device. Perfect labels every time. This label maker is a wonderful upgrade to the original p touch. My original one finally gave up and this is a perfect replacemement. It really is plug and play, but to get the most out of it, you want to install batteries (not included). Once you have batteries in this, you can take it anywhere and it will store labels you use all of the time (2015, I am looking at you!). Quiet an excellent, versatile machine This remarkable, high end little machine, looks, feels and performs top quality. It has all kinds of personalized settings and memory, plus conveniently preloaded very useful label choices. Such as - Personal - To do - Completed - Danger - Caution - etc. Takes about 2 second for the printer to print a label. The lever that cuts off the label is flawless. Awesome Label Maker I'll start by saying this label maker is much bigger than I initially expected. This thing looks almost like a miniature typewriter. This is the cream of the crop of label makers. It comes with everything you need, including an AC adapter and a mini USB cable to connect to your computer. The AC adapter is a nice touch as you can use the label maker immediately if you don't have batteries (batteries are not included ) and it allows you to leave it connected to your computer and plugged into the wall. A welcomed addition to our many other Brother products... Another Brother to cheer about! We own many products (printers, label makers, etc.) from Brother and this label maker is a welcomed addition. Our other label maker is pretty simple and out-of-the-box ready to use. No bells. No whistles. Straight forward printer. Now… this new label maker has got some pretty neat features that will require you to read the User's Guide before starting. Very nice label maker - software is only average This is my second Brother P-Touch label maker. My other one is a no frills little workhorse that is easy to use, has never let me down and has pumped out hundreds of labels for me. This PTD450 label maker is much fancier, offers many more options for fonts, sizes, and graphics, and has the bonus of being connectable to my personal computer. Enable Labels! I haven't had a label maker since the days of the original Dymos with the rotating embossing wheel, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to review this Brother Label Maker. First, let me say that in my experience, Brother makes awesome printers. Reliable Brother Great product, have multiple versions of Brother PC connectable label makers. Latest iteration is as solid as the previous ones, It is quick, fast and convenient. Always reliable, with easy to use book marks. I use PC to create new labels and store them on the printer and re-print using book marks. Great for mass printing too.
