Great label maker. Very easy to use. This unit was purchased to replace my 12 yr old cheaper label maker I tried to use a few weeks ago. It turns out they stopped making the refill cartridges for my model so I had to upgrade. This new one is so far beyond my old one it's not even close. Easy to use Very good labler.
Machine works fine. Cannot use stock of TZ tape. Uses TZe Only! Label machine works great and easy to connect to computer. Bought this only because our old P-Touch cannot be used with newer computers. To my disgust I found our total stockpile of TZ tapes cannot be used because the machine only uses the newer TZe tape. So I had to immediately spend more on new tape than the machine costs. Strangely new TZe tape can be used in old machine but not old tape in new machine. Good buy!! Great label maker. Love that it makes THICK labels for 2-3 lines! Can’t find that in other label makers
Not that great It’s ok. The print fonts are average. It’s not too user friendly. I would suggest another brand hoping it’s better than this one. I wish it was rechargeable instead of battery operated. I don’t use it often so the batteries go dead.
Works but has issues If you have a lot of old-style TZ tapes like I do, be aware they will NOT work in this unit. It requires TZe tapes. The manual is hard to read, half of it is written in a foreign language, and it has serious mistakes. User support is a joke, don't waste your time on the "help" website. Brother tapes are very expensive but luckily you can get reasonably priced aftermarket tapes. Use your PC with this tool for Great Results! The interface of the built-in commands is confusing. A video on their web page is sorely needed. All I could find on the Brother P-Touch website was a promo/commercial. HOWEVER...when I used my computer, and the downloaded software, things got way better. Tapes are pricier than we would like, but the finished product cannot be beaten. Great labels and signs. Lots of options, fonts, and clever clipart and symbols. Very happy with the tool. -GUYr8s
