There was no examination at all. Spent more time with a nurse than the NP who did nothing other than hand over orders.
Went in at 1:30 told to come back around 4 didn't get seen till 5:30. PA was awesome. You should have enough staff to keep the office open during lunch breaks so people don't have to wait 4 hrs to be seen.
Tried to call ahead to make an appointment, was told that system was down, but only a few people waiting. Went to Dunnellon office, signed in and was sent a text to register online (could have done the same from home). Upon beginning my ‘registration’, noted that the appointment time indicated on the registration was more than an hour out (again, could have been home waiting). When I met with the doctor, I explained to her that my daughter was just here the other day, and she had strep throat. I went to the Urgent Care because I was coughing, had a headache, had hard time breathing along with body aches. The doctor prescribed me prednisone and an inhaler ! She previously asked if I was asthmatic and I told her I wasn’t. I asked if she could prescribe me a Z-Pak or possibly some cough medicine. She said the prednisone would open up my airways. This is a “QUICK” care med…..aka walk in clinic…. Why did it take 4 HOURS to be seen for a simple look in the ear for an infection! I’ve never in my life spent time like this at an urgent care setting! I could have been in and out of the ER faster than this place! How do you keep 2 kids under 10 entertained in a clinic setting/room for 4 damn hours??????
I was the second in line when the doors opened and still wasn’t seen for nearly an hour and a half. There was one team member doing intake and insurance verification and she was clearly overwhelmed. The doctor sat without patients for at least 30 minutes while the front office determined copay’s and benefits. There must be a better process.
Just had to wait a hour being first one in line ?
Went in on Sunday morning after not able to get into dr office and trying medical plan call in dr. Finally able to get medication and feeling better after a little over a day. So happy they listened to me symptoms and treated me so I could get on the mend. I wish I could go to bed for a week and rest but work, bills, life will not go on hold.
