I've been a regular at Redeye for about 15+ years and was so glad that it finally re-opened after the fire. However, I was disappointed that on a Sunday evening at 6:15 pm in a room that wasn't completely full, my request for a table near the window hadn't been honored (I know there's no guarantee) and my entree was delivered before I finished my appetizer.
They need more waiters. I will try once more & see if any improvement
I make a point to dine here every time I’m in NYC. I really enjoy the live music. The service and food is excellent on every visit!!

So glad this place opened its doors again! Lovely ambiance and albeit a reduced Menu, all we chose to eat was wonderful! The lobster mac & cheese is really good. Salads are great too. Wonderful cocktails and wine selections. Our server was alright - he was not paying sufficient attention to our table, so on one occasion we had to get up and serve our own wine. In addition, it was difficult to get his attention when needed. Not the service we're used to here, so we'll try it again.
We had been there before. Nothing special
Great food, sat outside and enjoyed a nice evening in New York weather wise for October. Destiny was our server, fantastic, attentive. Several people stopped by our table checking to ensure everything was to our liking. Food was great, the dancing shrimp is a must, I had it as my entree. Banana cream pie is incredible as well. You won't be sorry if you go.
Service was slow - I think the kitchen was shorthanded - our waiter did his best with our table of 7... Regarding the food - I think most everyone was satisfied, but I had one of the "house specialities" - beef bourguignon - and it was relatively tasteless with very little sauce. Maybe an off night. We were celebrating a birthday, however, and the birthday girl had a great time.
The food and service were excellent! I would definitely come back when I visit NYC again.
