The place is huge and has kind of a fun décor, with a variety of areas to be seated, from the main dining room, to a more loungey area, to the bar (and outside in the right weather). It has a touristic vibe on the Saturday night I was there, but during the week it gets more of a mix of business locals and out of towners. The seafood is fresh, the seasonings are well done, and the wine list has some surprisingly affordable higher end items. It won't knock your socks off but it is a good place.
My first Redeye Grill experience on Sunday September 29th, 2019 was absolutely marvelous. I had a lobster salad, fried calamari, hibiscus tea and carrot cake. Every meal was utterly delicious and fresh. The service was prompt, courteous and excellent. I look forward to coming back soon.
Sunday brunch with friends. Arrived and table was ready. Staff was friendly and service was spot on. Steak was cooked perfectly.
Even though the staff work hard to make sure the diner is happy, there are issues of timeliness and accuracy of orders. My friend's burger arrived without bacon, despite the fact that he made a point of asking for it specifically. His soup arrived in a very small bowl which looked somewhat sad on the bare tablecloth beneath. The food was fine. Awesome first time experience, service was outstanding. I would absolutely go back and highly recommend Redeye.
It's so wonderful to have Redeye Grill back. It's better than ever. The room is gorgeous and the food and service are terrific. I had the nice green salad, the scallops and the banana cream pie for dessert. A perfect meal and a perfect evening.
