There was a really wonderful live performer there tonight singing and playing the piano. He had a beautiful voice - it really added to the ambiance.
Once again I came to the Redeye with a friend before a performance at Carnegie Hall. The food was delicious, the service quite good, and we got to the concert on time. This time we had a booth, which was more conducive to conversation that we didn't particularly want to broadcast.
Great choice if you’re going to Carnegie Hall. Miso black cod: fabulous. Banana cream pie: great, I ate the whole piece! Lovely, attentive service for a woman dining alone.

Very good! They treated my friend very week for her birthday. The music guy was on point and the whole ambience was just great.
The wait staff was very accommodating. The food was delicious. The portions are huge. My friend and I shared an appetizer of fried calamari, which was absolutely delicious but so huge we didn't finish it. We wanted to save room for our mains. She had the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl, a very nice size and delicious. I had the Fish Tacos which came with guacamole, chips and a piece of roasted corn. They were so good. I just wish I had room to eat it all. We just had cappuccino for dessert.
First trip to New York, this restaurant provided the BEST food, sevice and ambiance from any other restaurant we dined with during our stay. THANK YOU for a great anniversary dinner!
I made a reservation for my family of 5 at the Redeye Grill - 4 adults and 1 teenager. The table we had was perfect, as was the food. I think the server was the consummate professional, but not that friendly - not a big deal. But, I personally like a little bit more warmth in communication. The food was great! The meal with 1 cocktail for one person was about $325. Only a couple of us had appetizers and desserts. So, the prices were consistent with what I expected from this restaurant. I would definitely go again.
I have eaten here in the past, and I was surprised about the quality of food we got. We had gotten the vegetable barley soup, and roasted chicken. The soup was salty, and the chicken was really really dry. We didnt finish it. For the money you pay to eat here, I would say it wasn't really worth it.
