Had dinner here prior to attending a concert at Carnegie Hall ( across the street). Our server, Vincent was perfect. The greeter/host in the front was exceptionally kind and efficient. The ribeye steak was exceptional- cooked to my specs, but a bit too much salt for me. The mashed potatoes were perfect! The pretzel stick rolls were very good. I did not drink, but my friends did. A warm welcome set the stage for a wonderful pre-theater meal at the Red Eye Grill. What a special place this is, perfect pre-concert if you are headed to Carnegie Hall. Service is attentive and pleasant. Dining there is a treat.
We haven't been to the Redeye Grill for a while but nothing has really changed, probably a good thing. Lots to choose from--even for vegetarians and vegans-- and everything sounds good. Know that portions are enormous and it is impossible to finish even one dish, which is what each of us ordered, only one which we could not finish. Avoid the espresso: tastes like dishwater and is served cold.
