The best thing about Redeye is the live music by far. My three times there they had a female singer and a piano player who also sang. They are pretty good and we've enjoyed that the most. The first two visits we enjoyed the food more. Each time I get the Ribeye but this time is had way too much fat on it. Probably 25% I had to cut away. The mashed potatoes were tasteless. My wife and I ate lunch there during a leisure visit to New York. Everything was great - food and service - and prices weren’t bad for midtown Manhattan.
Food was great. Especially the lobster and shrimp lasagna. Just wish our waiter was a little nicer.
Great place for pre- theatre dinner. Their sushi burger is to die for and the mushrooms as side dish are simply delicious. Staff is attentive and pleasant! Highly recommend the Redeye Grill!

An NYC classic that still feel fresh after all these years. Large, open, beautiful dining room with high ceilings. Very attentive service. Excellent raw bar.
Perfect spot for pre-theatre dinner! Ambience, food & service were all terrific. Bartender was very helpful in suggesting wines. Highly recommend!
Before City Center. Was surprised to get e-mail next day from Open Table saying I did not honor reservation as I had checked in with hostess upon arrival was shown to table and had dinner! Started with Caesar salad which was quite tasty but afterwards couldn't remember seeing any parmesan? Then had crab cake with shrimp. We had reservations but had to wait and got an uncomfortable table in the front that was not a real dinner table
