Redeye Grill is one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. We always have a great meal. Our waiter was very nice and had a great sense of humor, which always makes it a nice experience. The banana cream pie is my husband's favorite dessert there. All in all, a great place to have dinner.
Another very enjoyable meal. Service was attentive and we were not rushed despite the restaurant being full. This is a restaurant for fish, although their weiner schnitzel and steaks are also quite good. Had fish this visit - rare tuna which was excellent. Started with a sushi roll and finished with banana cream pie.
Prepare for an array of seafood choices along with vegetarian fare at this midtown spot. Service is consistent, with a very knowledgeable well trained staff. Very good set up for 2 to large groups.
Fantastic dinner. Enjoyed so much. I can recommend the place (and I'm a very demanding person)
Terribly disorganized! We waited over an hour after ordering before our first course showed up. There seemed to be quite a few new or undertrained employees during our Sunday brunch visit. In their defense the food was very good, but I don't think it was worth that kind of wait.
Was there for lunch with out of town guests. The restaurant honored my request for a special table and gave us a lovely spot at a window. Service was very efficient, friendly and helpful. We all had the chopped vegetable salad with either shrimp or lobster and all enjoyed it. Appetizers of clam chowder for two and a California Roll for me were very fine indeed. Wonderful service, great atmosphere
I come from Boston, and I'm accustomed to great sea food. This dining experience was superb. We each had the scallops, and they were as good as any I have ever had. The entrees do not come with any side dishes. The sides are too large for one person, but just right to split with someone else; and this keeps the cost down. Otherwise, if each person had a side dish the price can easily escalate. And without a side dish the meal would not have been well rounded (for me).
