The food was excellent and our waiter was outstanding! Very attentive and personable.
This is a wonderful spot -- with ample space between tables and friendly yet efficient staff. I've been here with grandma and grandpa for brunch, with friends for pre-theatre, and with my kids for a nice meal in the neighborhood. The food is wonderful, fresh fish, delicious oysters, excellent sushi, etc. The desserts are great crowd pleasers, large portions of All American favorites like banana cream pie, molten chocolate cake, cheesecake, etc.
Great food, artfully presented. Friendly, efficient service. This is a place which will be added to our list of favorites in the city. Our only complaint was the location of our table. There is a row of tables which ends by where the staff have their service area. We were on the last table on the aisle. When staff were coming and going there was not enough room and to often we had the company of their butts in our faces.
We did a pre-theatre dinne with our kids (12 and 10). The food was outstanding and the service matched. Portions were such that we skipped dessert, but they brought out some fresh from the oven oatmeal cookies and some fantastic cotton candy. Our kids liked it so much that they talked their grandparents into taking them back two nights later while we tried another (less kid friendly) NY gem.
The lobster pie was to die for. We loved the cotton candy touch when they brought the bill. Oh yes and the cookies hot from the oven just as we finished our meal. The wait staff were lovely and very professional.
Everything was perfect - as always!
We have always enjoyed the seafood here and were not dissapointed. Good wine selctions as well at reasonable prices.
The food and service was excellent. Decor a bit tourist tacky.
