My family and I were stationed in Richmond due to Army service requirements and I was transferred there for a PCS move. We were only given 10 days to find a house, and we contacted a realtor from Renters Warehouse. As a homeowner that used RW to manage property I can unequivocally say that no one should do business with this company. Here are some of the highlights: - zero communication. Do not expect any of your calls returned in a timely manner. Responses take days if not longer. - repairs are done with little to no communication. I would get invoices for $1,000+ repairs with no explanation. TL;DR- you will feel in the dark about renting through this company and surprised with things that should be explicitly communicated to you as a customer, but there's a customer service silver lining. Jason was quite helpful in handling our application process. Most of it is online which is a slight headache and communication between tenant and property manager takes some time, however Jason's approach made me feel slightly better about renting through this company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. Everything with this company is an arduous struggle. -Their phone system re-routes you to the beginning of the menu or sends you to voicemail when you press the option to talk to a person, even during business hours. Beware. Renters Warehouse will not respond to maintenance requests, even if those requests are urgent and the circumstances are life-threatening. My wife and I have been repeatedly attacked by aggressive hornets nesting on one of their properties, and they have refused to take action.

Complete scam- we called several times before applying to make sure the property was still available and told us to apply, after paying the 55$ application fee per person and taking over an hour to complete the lengthy application, we were immediately notified the property was no longer available. When we called the next day they were still scheduling showings and encouraging people to pay the fees even though the property was taken.

AWFUL. This company was supposed to manage our property, the least of which involved checking on it 4 times a year. We were never informed of anything that needed to be fixed until the tenants moved out with NO NOTICE to us until the day after they were gone. They broke a 3 year contract after 2 years and disappeared. Our house was a mess. EVERY interior door was taken off. The Renters Warehouse opened a maintenance work order for one of their Vendors, never contacted me. The Vendor talked to my wife and site up an appointment, my wife advised the Vender to also contact me and let me know before coming. The Vendor never contacted me. The day they wanted to come I had a appointment already. The Vendor wants to charge a no show fee and the Renters Warehouse wants a non-compliance fee. They didn't do their job. Terrible experience. If you are thinking about having Renters Warehouse place tenants in your home THINK AGAIN. DONT DO IT. YOU WILL BE TRAPPED UNTIL THE LEASE IS OVER. You can never EVER get anyone on the phone. They will say they'll get someone to call you but they don't. Worst experience with a business I've ever had hands down no question.
