They really have terrible customer service. You are better off going to the actual post office. At least at the real post office you avoid the extra fees and are greeted with a smile. If it's 4:59pm and you aren't inside yet they will actually lock the door even if you are standing right outside of it. It is what it is. Just be sure to go by way before 5pm if you choose to use this place.
Great American Storage used to be awesome when it came to using their post office services. Short and sweet with no long wait. I actually would pass another post office because I preferred their customer service over the USPS. However, recently I have had multiple packages delivered to my clients broken, missing items or not delivered at all. I will no longer use them because they are costing my business more money due to mistakes on their part. I chose them for speed and it has cost me. Never again.
These people are not very flexible when it comes to vacating. They do not prorate if you are unable to get out before 5PM on the last day of the month. They are rather rude people and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Long story short, they sold me a lock for my storage unit and it only had a single key. I made the assumption that they kept the other key on file for emergencies (bad assumption). Today, I needed access and could not get my key for 72 hours. I went to their office and was told that my unit only had a single key and it was the one they gave me. They could sell me a new lock and 3 keys (which they should have done in the first place), but they would have to drill my existing lock - only they can't drill it for 2 more days... read more
When I initially rented the storage unit they had offered free use of a move in truck as part as their policy. Unfortunately I had already rented a truck and did not have use of the truck at the time. I asked them if I could use the truck when I moved out instead and they said that it wasn't a problem. Now that I am moving out, it is a problem and they said that I would have to pay $25 for the use of the truck.
