Restorante had the best Italian food in the area. All the pasta is handmade and fresh. They also have a great wine list withmany Italian wines. Some of the entrées can be a little pricey, but it's worth it.
The dinner was fabulous, makes you feel like you are in Italy!
Everything was perfect - food, service, ambience. The parmesan flan with sautéed mushrooms that was on special was divine as was the tasting menu. Great flavors! Thanks for another wonderful dinner!
Exceeded expectations! Arrived before reservation & asked to sit at bar. Not able to b/c owner was bringing a party to sit there. End of the night (when he had not come in) host profusely apologized & would not let us leave w/o compensation. We declined drink or dessert so they packaged tiramisu & sent it home. There is no doubt that Bartolotta makes the best food in Milwaukee! Since the moment i walked in there i could feel the friendliness of the people working there. This Made a memorable night for me and my girlfriend. This Restaurant gets a A++ the only thing that bugged me were the people that were dining there, which in no way is the restaurants fault, the folks sitting around me were staring too much but then again i was the only minority there. Overall Ristorante Bartolotta was AMAZING!!!
We were thrilled with the fine service that we received for our anniversary dinner. The ladies that served us were very responsive to our needs and constantly checked on how we were doing. The food we were served was excellent. There was no doubt this was one of the finest meals to be had.
The food was amazing, the wood fire grilled pork chop melted in my mouth, better than many steaks I have had. My date had the Salmon, claimed it was the best prepared she had ever had. We found the seating to be rather cramped, we were seated at a middle table, being broad shouldered and was constantly bumped into by staff and other patrons passing through. The cramped seating also attributed to the noise level, I would expect a fine dining restaurant to be a little more on the quiet side.
A great menu, great staff, great ambience. Great Italian simply doesn't get any better than this! Wine list was unusually broad for a restaurant in the 'burbs.
The restaurant was packed and while service was friendly, they must have been short-staffed. After getting our wine and (patiently) waiting, we had to flag down staff to place an order or at least get bread. A second glass of wine and refills on coffee, while offered and ordered, we again had to flag down server to fulfill the requests. The food was excellent, but when you have to micro-manage service, it greatly diminishes the experience.
