We pride ourselves on being foodies to some degree and one of our favorite things to do both locally and anytime we are traveling, is research the best restaurants and then try as many as we can! For whatever reason, we had never gotten to Ristorante Bartolotta even though we both have known about it for years. That being said, I wish we had gone a long time ago. The service was superior, we felt like royalty.
Ristorante Bartolotta is awesome, their northern Italian food choices are excellent. One of us had the fixed price "garlic fest" menu with wine flight, and that was delicious and very fairly priced. All the food was terrific. Remember that Bartolotta is aggressive with their wine prices (high), so choose wisely and know your wines. Service was split between two waitresses for reasons unknown to us - the first was incredibly awesome. Very nice restaurant with great food. The service is above average, not great. It is a very small establishment and often times your table is very close to adjacent tables, so your conversation is likely being heard by others. The food is moderately expensive, but not outrageous.
dining room was very nice and comfortable with crisp white linens. I was expecting very rustic italian food with flavors to die for and what we got was extremely overpriced tomatoes and buffalo mozzerella and pasta w/white sauce that tasted like it came from a can. One of the best meals I have ever had! Bartolotta's never disappoints!
Not been to this Bartolottas for about a year but it was as good as we remember. On the plus side the food was outstanding. Hubby did the pre fixe with wine pairings (4 courses) and enjoyed the gnocci the most, which was a bonus as he ordered the pf mostly for the wild boar which was also very good. I enjoyed the papardelle with ragu but LOVED my app which was the mussels with butter sherry saffron sauce. Yummy. Had an opportunity to take my wife out for a relaxing evening; had arranged for our boy to attend "Sports night" at the local tae kwon do academy. Enjoyed some wine, enjoyed part of the seasonal menu (grilled octopus) and then had an excellent relaxing dinner. Came early, left at a reasonable time, never felt rushed. Knowledgeable servers and bartenders. Polite, friendly service. Always a enjoyable time coming back here. . . .
We chose this restaurant for our 21st wedding anniversary and so very glad we did. Everything was fantastic and even surprised us with delicious desert for our anniversary. The food the wine, and the service were all fabulous, would recommend this place for anyone's special occasion!!
