We are long time visitors to all the Bartolotta restaurants. This is one of our favorites. Although its a bit crowded and noisy, it's because it's a popular place. The menu and service are well worth it.
This was my partner's birthday, a day prior to Valentine's day, so the evening was special on two fronts. She has always loved this restaurant and we reserve it for at least 4 very special occasions each year. I had a surprise gift for her that evening and wanted the staff to bring it to the table between our main course and dessert. Great food great service. Crowded even on a Sunday night.
The day before my reservation, I dropped off a gift with the manager that I wanted delivered to my girlfriend along with our appetizers. Not only did they hold onto it for a full twenty-four hours, but our server brought it to the table with the apps just as I'd asked the day before, and I didn't have to say a word to anyone. Our evening was splendid, from the wonderful waitstaff to each plate, served well and in an unhurried fashion. Each of the four courses we split, so as to enjoy a variety of flavors without filling up on a few items. First visit. Will definitely return. Food, ambiance, service all great. No complaints. A place you can let the servers recommend items or wines if you are unsure or undecided. Prices fall into the high range but reasonable considering the atmosphere, service and menu. Small with moderate noise. Reservations recommended.
