I've had many dishes at this quaint village restaurant,loved them all, but keep coming back for the Rigatoni - it's my all-time favorite! My friend and I come twice a year just for that! And a bottle of wine of course!
We recently dined at Ristorante Bartolotta with another couple for the express purpose of enjoying the chef's seasonal special white truffle dinner offering. The food was exquisite, with the truffles adding an "extraordinary something," while not overpowering the underlying taste of the Northern Italian cuisine. Words simply cannot describe it! This much anticipated extravaganza is the highlight of our annual dining experience, and once again did not disappoint.
I had never been to this restaurant but my girlfriend and I love Italian food and wanted to celebrate our 3 month anniversary with a romantic dinner. I booked reservations and in the special requests section I wrote "Romantic." Her flight was cancelled that day and I ended up driving to Ohare to pick her up. We were both exhausted. I look forward to December lunch at Ristorante Bartolotta every year. The menu has a number of outstanding selections.
I had the white truffle prix fix menu and it was incredible. The flavors were wonderful. The main problem at this restaurant is the price is so high and the portions are so small. After paying $130 for the special menu, I was still hungry when I left.
As ususal, another great dinner. Food, wine, and service were all outstanding. White truffle season is my favorite!
