Hello all, I'm not one to leave reviews but in these circumstances it find myself having to. Long story short I installed a new a unit in my home that I had just bought 6 years ago. I've had great service until now. I recently had around $1700 worth of services done to my unit in April inspection, cleaning and regular required maintenance on the unit per the technician who came out. My AC stopped working. The RKM technician said I needed a new module. He quoted me $600. I approved it. He said he installed it (I don't believe he did) and it didn't solve the problem. He said I need a whole new system for $11,000, but my FA unit is only 5 years old and works fine. He also quoted me three different service plans and prices. I felt taken advantage. I do see that we did do repairs per your authorization and after completion the system needed additional work to bring it up to factory specs. I see that the capacitor that you mentioned was the part that we had replaced for $478 for a USA lifetime warranty part. This did not correct all the issues with your system so in good faith we reinstalled the old part and provide you a refund. I had RKM install a new AC unit(compressor and furnace/blower) in 2019. It has been a disaster since then. 2 years later my compressor went out and had to pay over 2k to get it fixed. Another 2 years later in 2023 I call RKM for routine maintenance and all of a sudden my AC stops working. Over the course of a week I had 4 different techs come out including the owner. My boyfriend and I first started using RKM in 2020 they came out to take a look at our unit that was old and having problems. They suggested, and we ultimately decided on upgrading our system to save on energy cost and overall just have a better system. We also paid for their membership program to get discounts, twice yearly services, and more. But not long after the unit was installed, problems started to arise.
