Don’t come here unless you’re white or don’t mind sitting all the way at the back of the restaurant. My boyfriend and I came for a Valentine’s Day dinner with a reservation at 5:30. Despite there being PLENTY of empty tables for two people at the main area of the restaurant, we were seated ALL the way in the back. It just so happened that all the 3 parties seated all the way at the back with NOBODY else were Mexican, black and Indian while everyone at the front/main area of the restaurant were white. Our server Ashlin as it ... read more
Couldn’t tell if it was a sports bar (tv on wall playing sports) or a restaurant. Food was mediocre and service was 2 out of 10.
This was by far the worst experience I have had in San Diego. This was SO upsetting. We spent $220, during restaurant week nonetheless for HORRIBLE service, subpar food and mediocre drinks. Our server was disinterested in us from the start. She barely came up to us, and was annoyed when we told her our food came out cold. I ordered the risotto balls for an app, they were cold. But ate them without complaining. Then after 75 minutes (yes 1 hour 15 minutes) my entree of shrimp Alfredo came out ALONE. When I asked for my fiancé... read more
Went for the first time during restaurant week, and had quite a poor quality experience. Service was quite slow, and when our food did arrive, it wasn’t even hot. I paid the extra $10 for the steak entree, and it was incredibly dry as if it had been sitting out for a bit prior to being brought to the table. Even with the restaurant week deal, this is a place I would have skipped as it was not worth it. The only redeeming quality was a good tiramisu.
The ambience is Italian, but the food--mashed potatoes?--hardly seems Roman.
Fundamentally this is a fine dining establishment. But it is totally destroyed when they bring the bill with an unacceptable, unreasonable, unwarranted, unannounced “hospitality fee” which became an argument with the manager.
Food is awesome… portions are definitely inconsistent, same table, same pastas, different portions… why? Still all very good Service was rushed, plates were taken before finishing and desert offered while still one of us eating. Advise: take your time let us enjoy fhe experience. 4% surprise added to bill, cheap, just raise the prices and don’t scam us.
Food was just ok. Nothing that wows you. If you want a decent Italian meal, go here.
I booked Roman Wolves two weeks ago for a party of five since my family was flying in for Christmas. We notified the hostess we were there 20 mins prior to reservation start in hopes of securing a table at the scheduled start time. My party fully arrived five mins til and the hostess says it’ll be another 15 mins. My mother has mobility issues and we requested a chair so she could wait. When they finally seat us it’s at the very end of the patio area outside and my mother had trouble navigating to the end of the section sinc... read more
