Wait staff seemed less than thrilled, Calamari was way under cooked and slimy greasy (which I told server whom did nothing) and pizza was about 8 inches at best. Really gone down hill...
The setting and location are amazing, but every time I've been here I've reminded myself to never come back. Gave it another chance this week and had an over cooked, but cold steak, and a terrible server who didn't want to be there.
food was great ....service not so much :{ The hostess seated us fast then we just sat there 15-20 min before our waitress decided we weren't worth it and i watched her give us to a new waitress who didn't know what she was doing two min after receiving my pizza was asked if i wanted a box was never asked if i wanted another beer .....

My wife and mother in law went at 2pm on Halloween. The waitress brought pop and water to us, but then disappeared. We saw her and another waiter and waitress eating pizza. She went into a back room. Nobody came to take our order. My wife and her mother got up and left. Very upset.
Decent food and great setting and of course by reeds lake. A little bit long to get things ordered, but it was prep'd and served promptly. Waiter should always mention when tips are already included to avoid paying it twice, to remember when you go with large party
My family and I are local to EGR and have eaten at Rose's many times in the past and the last time will be our last. Over the 4th of July weekend, I attempted to get a take out order for my 4 year old daughter. When I asked about the take out options, I was promptly told by the 2 hostesses that they were not doing takeout, "the kitchen was too busy". Ate their for the first time.. the staff was rude and our waitress was hostile plus you don't need 14 year old girls working the front standing there doing nothing... the corned beef was low quality meat and the chips were cold and soggy (weird)... Never again!!!!!
My neighbors took me to Rose's last night for dinner (I have been a fairly regular customer) and I have to say that my dinner was the most horrid dinner I have ever had in Grand Rapids. What have you done with the Rose's I love???? I had parmesan crusted chicken breasts with garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was ghastly!!!! Was it really breast meat??
