Sahuaro Vista is a great vet clinic! I've been taking my boxer/Boston terrier mix there since he was a puppy. The staff is friendly and Dr. Carlton is always nice and helpful with any questions I may have. From the skin issues Domino had as baby to patching him up from rough housing, I can always trust SV as a place to take my pup.

I have been taking my pets (currently 7 dogs 4 cats 1 rabbit) to Sahuaro Vista for nearly 23 years. I moved here from LA in 1990. It was as important to me to find a good vet as it was to find a pediatrician for my children. I got their name by chance from the person at the film developing booth. When I met Dr. Carlton I immediately felt like he was a vet I could communicate with and would feel comfortable having treat my dogs and cats. I had been a vet tech in LA and had known a few vets. Dr. Andy and his staff of vets, techs and office support folks are simply the best! They have been taking care of my pets since we moved up here 15 years or so ago. They really do care about the health and well-being of their clients!

A nail trimming should not be traumatic nor should a small dog be handled aggressively. In our case both happened, twice. The result was bloody claws and an hysterical dog. it was obviously a rush job without regard to his welfare, or state of mind. we won't be back.

Absolutely stay away from this vet. Terrible service and not professional. I had an emergency this morning with my daughter at school and was late with my service dog. They asked me dogs name and said, you're 30 minutes late and bye. Like being penalized. Who are these people? I wouldn't take any pet here. Just because of the attitude from the guy at the counter. Needs a lesson on taking care of clients .
Brought my little boy in for the first time today due to his paw licking. I was 7 minutes late, but was not acknowledged when I walked in as the girl was on the phone. I sat down and listened to her talking to the parents of 'Gooby' for several minutes before another guy came and signed me in. Exam was OK I guess, I was more interested in topicals but she prescribed an $80 allergy pill... Poor availability to obtain service. Focused on the business, not the pets they see.

Their lack of due diligence and diagnostics attributed to the early death of my 5 year old King Charles cavalier. The emergency center where he died couldn't understand why he was not treated for his high kidney and liver enzymes back in April. When I asked the vet about it he answered "Well they weren't THAT high." I guess they were. He died. I will NEVER get over it. Keep looking for another vet.
I understand the computers were down however they didn't seem to know how to properly interact with my pet they were not friendly towards her and didn't take the time to make her feel comfortable around them. She is a min pin /chi 1 yrs old. She barks and does a growl the tech wouldn't get within 2ft of the table I understand fear of getting bit but if you dont take the time to talk to the dog before grabbing at her after you throw food towards her well what do you expect.
