We have taken 3 different dogs to Dr. Carlton over the past 8-9 years, and have been very pleased with the care they received. The staff seems caring and competent and is always reassuring to our dogs when they are stressed. In the past we did have one misdiagnosis by another vet, but that associate is no longer at the clinic. Because they do spend as long as necessary with each animal, you may occassionally have to wait awhile to be seen after arriving even with an appointment. I am new to the Tucson area and was in need of a vet clinic for my 2 dogs. I am very happy with Dr. Temkin and her staff. They are very caring and friendly and make us feel at ease. I would recommend this great clinic to everyone!
We found S.V.V.C and Dr. Carlton nearly 17 years ago after two horrific experiences with other Veterinarians. Dr. Carlton and his staff are amazing with the attention, care and concern they have for each and every pet/family member that comes through their doors. I've taken all of our pets to Sahuaro Vista for over 10 years. The office staff is always friendly and helpful and I'll always be indebted to Janice who gave me some great advice on who to help me train my reactive dog. Andy Carlton is a great doctor and I always feel like he has our family's best interest in mind.
Andy Carlton has been our veterinarian for 20 years. He has seen us through the ups and downs with each of our pets and has been exceedingly compassionate during those times of "that very difficult decision". Dr. Carlton is fantastic. Very helpful, caring and explains everything. Our foster Chihuahua ate stuffing from her toy. She is 3 lbs. and had to be seen several times for blockage and throwing up. Dr. Carlton fit us into his schedule and was terrific explaining everything to us. I have been going to this clinic for many years with my other dogs. I would not go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Best veterinary care in Tucson! Everyone is so helpful and kind every time we go there. The Dr.s are both wonderful and I would happily recommend either of them. I just love going as it his clinic has such a nice, homey feel to it - not so corporate like some of them where you just feel like a number.
I found out about Dr. Carlton from my neighbor 14 years ago and continue to receive excellent care for my 4-legged "babies". I searched for a long time before I came here, and boy did we see some strange offices. Everyone is knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, concerned and interested in my "babies". We have taken our dogs here for over a decade. Of course over the years we have experienced well checks as well as illnesses and injuries and the loss of a pet. Dr. Carlton has been absolutely amazing through all of it. He is down to earth and reasonable. He has helped us get through some really difficult and complicated health issues with our dogs with an incredible amount of compassion and understanding as well as making an effort to do it in a way that was as cost effective as possible.
