Excellent staff at the Sam Ash located off of I-94 and College Ave. The store itself has a huge variety of musical instruments, very friendly environment. David was very helpful and knowledgeable, explaining everything to me. My husband bought a guitar 🎸 and they tuned it up right there at the cash register (of course, they asked first if we wanted them to because it was all boxed up). Very pleased.
Sam Ash has always provided super service and recommendations on purchases, and handled returns and special orders with care and excellence. Would highly recommend the San Diego store.

This store has great people in the guitar department. Jeff Baumgart is knowledgeable and friendly. The store doesn't always stock things I'm looking for, but Jeff is always able to have them shipped in within a couple days.
Service at this store is ten times better than what it is at the local Guitar Center (maybe even better than what GC's service used to be 15-20 years ago when it was actually good). Great selection and prices--have bought several hard to find items there that other stores did not have. Former guitar tech Keith was excellent, but current guitar tech Gary may be even better--knowledgeable, thorough, and actually listens to customer.
