I generally love showbiz movie theaters. This marks my first bad experience with their services. My issue is that they charge for a cup of tap water. So it starts as I go up to the counter and get a large pop corn. The guy asks if I would like a drink with that. I replied yes I would like just a cup of water. He says would you like a fountain drink cause I have to charge you. I was like is it cause of the cup?, because I have my souvenir cup in my car. Can you just fill that up with water. I hate the advance purchase seating! It's impossible to get a group to sit together now and everyone pay for their own ticket! Twice now we have gone to show and seats are sold out but theatres are empty because no one has to be there early to get seats. We are going to have to start going to a different theatre! Arghhhh

Showbiz is great as long as your seeing the SDX. They started out strong when they opened but obvious volume & lighting concerns leave me watching movies at AMC in a the mall. I saw The Revenant in one of the normal screens. The stair lighting was very bright and made it difficult watching the darker colored scenes. The lights on the sides of the aisles are also really bright and make it hard to watch the pre show. They leave the lights on during the preview. The other problem is the sound. This theater is dirty, smells of musty gym socks. Right when you walk in popcorn trails on the floor leading you to the concession stands I guess. Seats recline which is a pro!

Every Saturday my family goes to the movie because I have a severe autistic child that has a routine to help him know what day it is and give him structure. Family decide to go to a new movie theater he was crying because he wanted to go to the amc movie theater that he is used to. We talked to him and managed to get him quiet by the time we had to go in to the movies. Need to learn the meaning of the word clean. Hire someone at min. Wage and assign them to a cleaning crew. I get popcorn is messy but AMC seems to be able to keep their facility clean.

Nice theater, great location. However. The company's movie rewards program is terrible. You only get one "point" for every ticket or $5 you spend on consessions. Once you get to 25 points you get a free ticket. That is ridiculous. Basically once you spend $175 you get one free ticket. ($7 average for a ticket 25 times). And now they have raised their ticket prices. This policy needs be reevaluated.

This is a very dirty theatre that serves nasty food. The spicy chicken sandwich is disgusting as are the fries. The popcorn is regular but I was expecting a cleaner atmosphere. This is no studio movie grill nor sundance.

I've been to this location a few times already. Its the only movie theater in Kingwood and it beats having to go to Deerbrook AMC 24 in the mall where all the crazy kids are. But, the seats are small and low to the ground, I hate them. That makes the whole movie experience really bad. I prefer big comfy seats.
