This was the best new construction purchase I've had.
Lara was great. I have never seen that kind of customer service. She kept us informed all the way and fought in our corner everyday. Because of some previous experience my wife went into this purchase with doubts but she was turned into a believer by Lara.
They were professional, had a good selection of floor plans, and it was a good value.
I've only been in my home 6 weeks, had moved here from out of state, not enough time for fair assessment.

I was able to follow build status by logging into my house portal and seeing when milestones were scheduled and when completed. My construction mgr held meetings periodically to review and discuss the process. The only complaint I have is not with the building process but with the Smith Douglas corporate policy of not allowing any type of customization. It would have been easy to rough-in a utility sink in the garage but that was not even an option. Also I wanted to leave parts of the yard un-sodded in order to put in garden... read more
Most professional, helpful, resolved any concerns I had.
I'd recommend to others based on affordability, but quality, I've seen better options with other builders. They offer more than smith Douglas. However, Smith Douglas is very affordable.
