Smith Douglas Homes takes the time and effort to build a really good home.
I highly recommend them, they have great service.
There was poor communication with the sales agent, but I was mostly satisfied with the deal I got. I've had the toilet leak, and I had to get it replaced, but thankfully I had the first year home warranty. The week after I moved in, the toilet had to be fixed and replaced. The HVAC was missing dampers and wasn't set up properly.

I enjoy the home they built for us. I think they did a pretty fair job on it for a pretty fair price, for the area, II suppose. So far, I have not had any major problems with it, just a couple of minor and they fixed them right off the bat. The construction superintendent, Kenny, has been wonderful tot work with. I am pleased.
Smith Douglas was great. Jen, who was in contact with us, and Trent, our builder, did a wonderful job communicating with us and making sure we were happy with the final product. We were very happy to work with them.
I had a great experience with our construction manager, Zach. If Zach was everyone’s first point of contact, you would be highly recommended by many! He went above and beyond our expectations. I did not have a good experience with Darrin. He was less than truthful in the end and as far as I’m concerned, Smith Douglas owes me about $3k that I will seek out.
I am torn on this. Everything leading up to move in was good. We were not able to attend our walkthrough for the final punchlist due to being out of state and a lot of items that needed to be resolved were missed. And, of course, Smith Douglas will not take care of anything not explicitly covered under warranty after closing, so we were left to handle a lot of problems on our own.
