The food at Smith and Wollensky is fantastic, great service I would recommend to all looking for great steak delivered with a little class

Beautiful art-deco style building with gorgeous features and mosaics, make for a lovely dining experience. The restaurant was busy and lively when we came on a Thursday night. Service was attentive, with an good wine list. The "surf-n-turf" option with steak and lobster, with a glass of prosecco thrown in was excellent.
Just off the Strand, but nicely away from hustle and bustle this is a beautiful restaurant, serving good food, and good wine, well. The service is excellent, and attentive, without being obsequious. The food choices are sufficient, and well prepared. All in all a good experience, and one I will certainly be repeating, and would commend to others
Reminds me of the Oyster bar in Grand Central station , NY. The service was excellent, we needed to leave within 75 minutes and still have the Assorted seafood for two with sides, there was time for pudding and an excellent bottle of Portuguese wine. The steaks looked amazing, i will be returning.

I've eaten at Smith & Wollensky in New York and loved it. But the same restaurant translated into the London scene is much more sophisticated (perhaps differentiating themselves from all of the other popular American steakhouses and burger joints that are everywhere right now). From the uniformed-doorman to the cocktail-making barman to our friendly, helpful waiter it was evident that giving outstanding customer service was a priority for all staff. The food was excellent. We opted for the pre-theatre meal which was outstanding value. The staff were helpful & the food prompt.
The restaurant was extremely well staffed, and everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. The food took a little while to come, but it was well worth the wait - even the french fries that looked so ordinary tasted divine - everything was well seasoned and very tasty. The food was quite pricey compared to where we normally eat, but well worth it for a special occasion. Won't hesitate to visit again.
