We had a great meal after booking an Open Table special offer. Some of these restaurant offers come with small portions, but the steak and lobster platter for two with two sides was huge! I was a little put off by the server. I had to ask multiple times for the offer menu which made me feel awkward. They should have given it to me in the beginning instead of hoping to push me onto the regular menu. She also said the entree required 40 minutes to prepare minimum and that she recommended a starter. The meal did not take even h... read more

Spent a lovely night at Smith and Wollensky after a trip to the Theatre. I have been to the one in New York and was hoping that the London venue would be like that. I was not disappointed. It is a slightly different vibe in London, a bit more refined and quiet maybe? but still very welcoming. The staff are brilliant and our Waiter absolutely knew his business. A real credit to the Restaurant. So to the food, and what food ! - We both went for the Ribeye which was fantastic, but there is a but. At £59 just for the main, was t... read more

This London branch of the great NYC Steak House serves the same great steaks. The U.K. service is relaxed and friendly and top notch for London. It's not cheap but my meat eating offspring and I have had two great meals here. The wine list is great with lots of US favorites and if you feel really wealthy you can even get Screaming Eagle!

As someone who regularly frequents the various steakhouses in the City, the quality of the beef here stood out against the offerings of Hawksmore (extremely average steak..), Gaucho and Goodmans. Their USDA prime sirloin was beautifully cooked and it had none of that overtly charcoal grill taste that Hawksmore uses and makes any cut of beef taste exactly the same. It still had that distinctive buttery taste which makes USDA cuts so tasty (and probably very unhealthy for you!). The reason I didn't give the restaurant 5 stars ... read more

Having been to the S&W in Miami and Vegas, I'm pleased to see that its first outpost outside the US has come to London! We had a lovely evening at S&W - the kind waiter (and Irish Barman) moved us to a large round table at the end of the dining room by the window having originally put us by the door as you go in. Service was impeccable and the food superb (we don't think it will be long before they get a Michelin star if they are applying). The wine was surprisingly reasonable and a £33 bottle of American Cabernet Sauvignon ... read more

this is the only steakhouse in London which serves such an extensive selection of American and British beef. My friends and I tried the American cuts which (because the cows are corn fed) result in a more flavourful, and tender (almost buttery) steak. The desserts are also excellent (and their portion size is huge so consider sharing these). The service is friendly and the staff is extremely knowledgeable on the extensive menu, and helpful with recommendations from it.

Went here on a first date, had no idea what we were getting into - was much more expensive than we were led to believe when looking online! That said, the price is the only thing I can criticise. The staff were friendly and knowledgable, the food was incredible and I could not fault the setting! Definitely the sort of place I would recommend for a special occasion, just make sure to go on payday!
