2nd time at the London restaurant, and I couldn't believe that it could be better than the 1st visit. Best food EVER to go in my mouth. The steak was cooked to perfection and the taste was angelic... Cant wait for next visit to London so I can go here again. Paul Reast Doncaster
A little hard to find being off the main thoroughfare but well worth locating and enjoying, great staff, superb food and super surroundings
This was a Christmas lunch get together with old school friends - we had a great server at our table who offered brilliant advice and was attentive throughout the meal. All the food was excellent and service was not rushed at all - definitely going to be visiting again
Looking for a restaurant in the Strand on the Sunday before Xmas, discovered that the famous NY steakhouse had opened a London branch. On arrival very few tables were taken but the service and food were excellent. The restaurant is well fitted out and one can only wonder why it wasn't busier - is it the location? or low key opening? We liked it and will be back!
S&W is a must for steak lovers - having visited many of their outlets in America, I decided to visit their London offering. Pricing is as you would expect for the Strand...
Had a fantastic dinner, staff were attentive and helpful explaining the menu. Food was fab but I would say expensive so mainly for a special occasion or business dinner.
Went for husbands 50th Birthday with another couple. were seated at a very nice table but atmosphere slightly marred by the nearest tables conversation which got quite loud and rude at one point. Shame the establishment didn't ask the "lady" in question to tone it down somewhat. Food was nice but wouldn't say it was a wow or great value for money. Classic NY style with very warm service. We were well looked after. Thought the steaks were expensive so I chose the salmon instead and wasn't disappointed. Our meals and the wine were all very good. Only negative comment to make is about the fries - nothing wrong with them but expected a more home cooked style. What we received was standard frozen fries you pick up in the supermarket. However I would eat here again and I do recommend.
Eating at Smith and Wollensky is fast becoming our favourite luxury treat!. Food is amazing, their Sunday Lunch Rib of Roast Beef is to die for! and ooh those Roasties. The service is excellent, warm, friendly and professional. Am gradually introducing all of our friends to the experience.
