We were on a tight schedule for visiting the facility. They were accommodating and helpful. After the tour we went back the next day and filled out paperwork. Due to time constraints on our part they helped us get a new patient moved in the next day. We will see what the future brings. The thing that caught our attention the most about the facility was in the Memory Care Unit they do as much as possible with the patients for stimulation. They spend very little time in their room. They are downstairs with other patients and b... read more

It's small, feels like you're in someone's house. Staff has great communication and care. Everybody knows each other.

Business response:

This is the place you dream of finding. It’s better than we could have hoped for. After a bad experience at another facility, we moved my mom to Sonata Boynton Beach, and it has been a night-and-day difference. The team has been so kind, loving, and patient—not just with her, but with all of us! When they say they’ve cultivated a home-like atmosphere, it’s not just a sales pitch—they truly have. The staff is incredible. You can see their genuine affection for the residents, and that warmth makes all the difference. We just w... read more

There are times when some residents get out of control and they could use additional help to assist the residents that are left unintended. Over all I haven’t any issues with them. They’ are sweet caring people. I visit my husband often and I see that the residents have pretty much no contact with their families.

Business response:

Thank you for your review and kind words about our caring team. We appreciate your feedback about needing additional assistance and will work on improving this. It's great to hear you visit your husband often, and we encourage more family involvement. Thank you for being a part of our community. If you have any further suggestions, please reach out to us directly.

The quality of care was good although I had to intervene when the staff did not respond to her needs. If I had one issue it was the constant change over of the senior staff. I would establish a relationship with them and then the would leave. In the one year we had 3-4 health directors and 3 facility managers. My comments about the staff we just my frustration because I was trying to manage my step mother's care from a distance and I never knew the person I was talking to. The nursing staff was excellent.

Areas they could improve on - our experience started off very well, our loved one was there for less then 5 months and then he had came down with covid and passed. During that time the communication could have been much better and could of prevented some things from happening.

I live in Massachusetts so I was mostly long distance. I was my brothers only relative. He was in memory care. I also hired a private care giver for five hours a day. I was in south Florida for a month this winter and found Sonata to be welcoming. The place is Relatively small which is good. The director [name removed] is terrific.

I have already recommended Sonata Boynton Beach to others. The facility got a new Executive Director in August 2022, and he has been working to make positive improvements.

The local team of staff was great. This was a great size for our loved one. Eventually the corporate office took over and decided they couldn't care for our loved one.
