Get directionsThis community was very nice and they had lots of activities going on. This would be great for an independent loved one it just did not fit our needs.
The process of getting in the staff were incredibly helpful. The communication wasn't what I had expected after my loved one was in the community. I had to get an aide in addition to the memory care cost due to person issues with my loved one. They were helpful setting up on the room. Once the resident is in the community, I think they need to have more staff available to talk to you about your loved one.
It is quaint, and not an institutionalized community. It feels like my loved one is living in a small neighborhood. There are only 20-25 people in each building. The staff are very good to work with. They are responsive to questions over my loved one.

The amount of residence is key, if you have too many you don't get enough attention. I like the size of this community and the ratio between aids to residence means they get more attention overall. I would recommend this community to others.
The director that runs the community is absolutely phenomenal and she is also a nurse, which I like. Overall, the staff are fabulous, friendly, cooperative, and go over and above for the residents and their families. They keep my mother's apartment exceptionally clean and sterilized. They even clean her walker everyday. When the chef is cooking, the food is excellent, but when he isn't there, it is not consistent. My only suggestion for improvement would be regarding activities. I would like to see more creative activities r... read more
The main reason we chose Sonata was that it was close to my mom's home and her friends could come and visit her. We also picked it because it is a small community and my mom's mobility is limited. Her apartment is close to the dining room. It is very clean and very modern. The only drawback is that there is no kitchen sink in the apartments. For my mom, I do not see that as a negative at all. Another major consideration for us and why we selected this community is that they are an LNS community and could provide nursing care... read more
The buildings are very clean. The staff was very friendly and engaged with the residents. A good ratio of number of staff to residents. Overall seems to be a very good facility.
Sonata has a beautiful memory center. It’s in two separate buildings one for mild to moderate and the other moderate to severe. It’s nice because it’s in its own building and not set inside a building. Meaning it doesn’t feel like a prison ward. The bedrooms are nice size, very modern, clean and very nice.
